Super Color Pellets
Loaded with natural color enhancers, such as salmon skins, Omega One's new Super Color Pellets offer the hobbyist an extreme, yet healthy color enhancement opportunity for their fish. Nothing on the market brings out the natural colors of fish in such a brilliant fashion. Combined with the already recognized, superior nutrition of Omega One, our color pellets represent a real breakthrough in the aquatic hobby.
Omega One has food for ALL species of fish. I feed my cichlids a combination of marine flakes w/ garlic, super kelp flakes, super veggie flakes, and various Omega One frozen foods based on their dietary requirements. Best of all their food is all natural and hormone free.
Look at the ingredients as compared to Hikari etc.... good stuff in here! I use this mixed with NLS and Omega One Super Kelp pellets and my CA/SA cichlids love the stuff....
I'm a big Omega One fan. My fish love these. Do soak them in a cup of aquarium water for 5-10 minutes before feeding. I feed these from time to time for variety, not as the staple.
Good product. My fish really like them and the red and yellows are more vibrant. Definitely soak then in some tank water for a few minutes to soften them up.
*Hint: One should ALWAYS soak ANY pellet food in tank water for 5 minutes minimum. Dedicate a cup (stryofoam, glass, plastic whatever) for this purpose. Its also a good time to add a multivitamin drop while they soak for optimal nutrition.
This food is very high quality, i have been using it for many months now, and have found my peacocks color much more vibrant! Especially my peacocks with orange coloring. If the price weren't so high, this food would be perfect.
It is a little hard for me to assess it's value since I got it at a LFS( higher price than from warehouses). I have only tried it sparingly and it seems to work good. My fish like it. The "small" pellets are kind of big and after soaking they swell up a lot: to almost 1/4 in. dia. A little too big for small fish.
