"Great light"
I've owned a Coralife Aqualight Compact Flourescent for many years. The only issue I had was some corroded terminals that caused a bad connection. I was able to scrape the terminals clean and installed a new bulb with dielectric grease on the terminals. Still going strong.

"Great"
Bought two 20" single bulb units on sale from big al's. One grow bulb on planted tank, 50/50 on cichlid tank. They work great and look nice enough to not need a hood, but pc bulbs lost their power in under a year.

"3 of 3 broken"
I have three of these lights. The seemed nice and of high quality when I got them. I was "upgrading" (1 used, 2 new) All three now have bad ballasts. The first, and most expensive- 2x65w with LED had a failure within 2 weeks on one bulb ballast (other side is fine--yes I have tested). Now all 3 of my Coralife fixtures are not working. Odd that I also have 2 other dirt cheap (non-Coralife) fixtures that have worked fine for years. So much for upgrading...

"No complaints."
Though I have only ever owned these and a Current satellite fixture, I will still chime in with my opinion. So far these have proven reliable and easy to use. And they have a sleek look to them. I'm satisfied and will happily purchase more as needed.

"Awesome lighting improvement"
great light to use over the conventional lighting units that come with systems. for about $60, it is a huge improvemet over the standard single fixtures sold with tanks. The only issue i have is the slide out rails to setup on the tank. It seems flimsy and I would much prefer if they made a lighting stand to support the low end models much like the full size larger lighting fixtures.

"I love this light"
I built a custom hood for this fixture. I have the 24" fixture with dual 6700k 65watt lamps. total of 130 watts. for those concerned about the cost of replacement bulbs, look on ebay. you can get 6500k 55watt bulbs for like under 15 bucks, shipping including. i've gotten them, and they are very nice. the dual is awesome cause you can mix and match different bulbs to achieve the effects you want. thumbs up. i'll definitely consider getting more for when i upgrade to a 6 foot tank (hopefully soon!)

"Love it!"
I use this with my planted tanks (30'' 2 65-watt 6700k fixture and a new 24'' 65-watt 6700k), and I absolutely love them.

The bulbs are a bit expensive, but you know that going in.

"Best fixture I own"
This thing does the trick. The light output is amazing and the construction top notch.

Had a severe problem the first time I attempted to remove the lights. The female connections all broke off due to some kind of corrosion. I called Coralife and within three minutes they sent me new ones free of charge. The new female inputs work great.

After that kind of customer service, how can I complain?

"Great Light"
I got a 48" 2x65W PC and really light up my tank and fish. One negative comment is that I cannot flip open my glass top while the lighting fixture mounted on top. I have to move the fixture a bit to open the lid. Overall, great light!

"Cool Light"
I used it for more a month and my tank sure looks great. The 50/50 enhances my blue Johnny and other colors as well.

Strongly recommended.

"Everyone should own one!"
It's hard to explain the beauty that these lights bring out in an aquarium. And my fish love me even more for buying it for them.

"Beautiful light"
A much sleeker (better looking) design than most power compacts, very easy to fit into canopies and to turn on and off. I use a 50/50 (saltwater) bulb for my freshwater rainbows and they now glow as they never have before. The price is also outstanding.

"Great looking light"
This light produces a very nice light, and looks good above the tank. The legs are just a bit flimsy, but hold the light well.

"Almost the best..."
Remember the first coralife power compact fixtures? They were recalled. These fixtures are much better. They are a good bang for the buck, but not quite the best in class (still gotta go with CSL on that one). They use cheaper ballasts. Side by Side they put out less light, and more heat than CSLs. They dont maintain the color of the bulbs as well either. Now, I know bulbs often change a little when breaking in, but not as much as these do. The 96 watt quads start out very nice white/blue, and shift to more yellow/green within the first month. That much is not good. The only other flaw is the fans. They are small, and often get noisy quickly. Bigger fans are often quieter because they dont have to go as fast. For a little more, the CSL moonlights or smartlamps are a best in class buy...but hey, I bought one, and a few of my friends use them as well...no regrets. Check hellolights for better prices, and ebay for the best prices.

This system is a great value. It has excellent fit and finish. Very sleek and high tech look. I have a four bulb unit for a planted tank and adequate lighting is no longer a problem. Coralife now has a freshwater unit with 6500k bulbs. I like the separate on off toggle switches and power sources for the front and rear banks of lights which allows separte timers for each. The only grump I have is the separately purchased leg mounts a bit flimsy and cheap.

"great for any tank!"
i use a 24" 72 watt strip on my 29 gallon tank and it has transformed it! as jb said, the stribs color temps are desinged for salt watter (10,000k and actinic) but you can switch them out for fw if you desire. coralife has also intruduced a fw version w/ 6700k tub(s). my only compaint is that the casing gets hot and the cords are @ a inconvianiant local!

"easily the most cost efective cf strip on the market!"
a great light for any tank! very cheap (esspecialy if you buy on the net, very bright, and very well built. the bulb temps are designed for salt water, it works great for planted tanks as well. the actinc was a tad to blue, so i switched it out for a 50/50.

"My new favorite!"
I purchased two of these 36" lights for my 125g african tank to replace my NO lighting. It made a huge difference in the tank and my fishes colors stand out all the time now instead of just when they are under the NO lights. My only complaint about these lights is the cord placement. It comes out the end of the strip as opposed to the back and that makes it kind of tricky to fit them under the canopy correctly. More cost effective than other pc light strips, I will definitely put these on all my future tanks.
