Comments:
M. aurora has a relative high body with flattened sides. The profile of the head looks like Pseudotropheus tropheops species, but less steep. The male body and the upper part of the head are light blue or violet from color. Depending on the mood, 7 or 8 vertical bars are visible . Throuat and front part of the chest have a gold brown color. Females and juveniles are common grey/brown with the same vertical barring.
