In an effort to achieve a Malawi tank with minimal aggression I have decided to try a 6ft 150g filled with only two different genera. Placidochromis and Labidochromis Caeruleus. I'd like to hear of your experiences with the following species in terms of aggression.
White Lips
Sapphire
Galo Reef
Giseli
Electra
Blue Otter

Re: Placidochromis Species Tank
As a group the Placidochromis tend to be less aggressive. My experience is with the electra and they can hold their own whereas reports of others such as white lips or sapphire are they color better if they are dominant.

I've kept the phenochilus and electra. The phenochilus will be more dominant. Personally, I'd go with the sapphire.

Actually I'm mixed all of them, White Lips, Electra, Galo Reef, Giselli, Blue Otter and Saffir. They are all males and roughly all 3". I'm hoping for zero carnage.Fogelhund wrote:I've kept the phenochilus and electra. The phenochilus will be more dominant. Personally, I'd go with the sapphire.
