I'm making a change in my 125 gal (6' long) tank and will be left with the following:
3 Acarichthys heckelii - 3-4"
2 Aequidens metae - 4-5"
6 Geophagus Red Head Tapajos - small
1 Gold Severum - 5-6"
I am looking to add one or two fish that will contrast in color and body shape. Current fish are all somewhat similar with the exception of the severum. I was leaning toward something like a Uaru, chocolate cichlid or green severum. My reservations are:
Uaru - Is plant eating a real concern? I have 2 large anubias.
Chocolate cichlid - too big when mature?
Severum - will there be aggression with the other one? I value a peaceful tank.
I'd love any other thoughts or suggestions as well. Tank has excellent filtration with 3 cannisters, sand substrate, rocks, driftwood and the plants mentioned above. Thank you!
