Standard 75 gallon tank. Fishless cycling now. Should be ready in a couple of weeks. Considering several options. Would appreciate your input on these possibilities:

Option #1-
Msobo 1:7
Hara 1:7
Fuelleborni 1:7

Option #2-
Msobo 1:7
Maingano 1:7
Fuelleborni 1:7

Optopn#3-
Msobo 1:7
Fuelleborni 1:7
C. zebroides (Jalo Reef) 1:3
Rusties 1:3

Suggestions?....Favorite combos?....Potential issues?.....other considerations?
Thanks for your input!

I would do 1m:4f on the msobo, zebroides, rusties or hara. Shoot for 20 adults.

My favorite is #2. I like the bright blue of the maingano and only 7 drab females.

So you think fuelleborni and hara females are drab? I was under the impression that they were considered to be some of the less drab female mbuna.

Hara females are fairly colorful...no bars though.

Labeotropheus females may have blotches, but not necessarily on a colorful background. A few of the collection points have "orange" or "orange blotch" females but most of the collection points look drab to me. Do you know the collection point? Mbenji females have an orange background, a subdued color as opposed to the orange of a cherry red estherae for example.

A couple of online sources have OB Marmalade fuelleborni available but do not list collection points. My selection strategy was based on trying to max out more "attractive" females. Would there be others that might meet that criteria and be compatible with the msobo and maingano mix? Not only in terms of the color mix but also compatibility with regard to avoiding crossbreeding and aggression levels (coloring up)? I'm thinking yellow labs are out since they are so much like the msobo females. I'm not excited about white labs or any of the albinos species. And I guess I have enough blues with the msobos and maingano. I'm kind of stumped.

I would use a vendor that lists the collection points. Let me ponder other options with colorful females.
