Adding Keyhole(s) to community tank?
Hello everyone, I have a 29g community tank with 5 Serpae, 3 Black Skirt, 2 White Skirt, 1 Black Phantom Tetras, and 5 Sterbai Cory. I was thinking about adding 2 Keyhole Cichlids to the tank. I have read that this species is peaceful. They would be purchased as juveniles. Is this a bad idea? Would 2 be ok together no matter how the sexes turned out or should I only go for one if its an ok thing to do? Thank you for reading this and any comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

All the keyholes I have ever had have been very peaceful. Probably the most peaceful cichlids I have owned.
I have never tried to keep them in a tank that small so I am not sure how they would react if you ended up with two males in such a small space.

Thank you for the comments. I now have 3 juvenile Keyholes in my community tank. Assuming I have at least one male and one female, at what age or size does the pairing happen? And what does the pairing behavior look like?

Typical spawning behaviour for cichlids. Digging pits, clearing surfaces, shaking at each other.
Mine didn't lip lock at all.
