Were my plecos eaten!!!

Postby UNLVrebels91 » Thu Jul 01, 2021 2:30 am

55 gallon, 12 mbuna cihclids, 2 (1m,1f) Bristle nose plecos

I've had the tank for about 1.5 years with no issues. I just realized a few days ago I haven't seen my plecos. I did a search and moved all the rocks and cant see them. Would my fish randomly decide to eat them? Also I can't find any remains or skeletons, and the plecos were about 3 inches. I've lost plecos before and I've found bones or intact skeletons. Tank is secured with custom lid that ensures none of them can get out of the tank. Anyone have this problem?

I have had fish disappear entirely...even the skeletons. Whether they died of natural causes or were killed then eaten is unknown.

Most likely they died and then became a buffet for the other fish.
