yellow labs

Do all yellow labs have a black strip on their dorsal fin? I think I have a yellow lab or a yellow zebra, but the mouth is not like the rest of my zebras.

I have some that don't but I got them at my LFS so who knows. My first 4 yellow labs from years ago, all ordered from a breeder, did have the black strip.

Yes they all have the black dorsal stripe. It can be pale on a stressed fish, but if there is no dorsal stripe it is not a pure yellow lab. Crossbreeds between pure yellow labs (Labidochromis caeruleus) and red zebras (Metriaclima estherae) are common.

That kinda looks like a female saulosi to me. But as mentioned above, could also just be a random hybrid

I agree. It's a hybrid.
