Just cycled my new 2nd hand aquarium and added an FX6 filter to run in line with existing.

Tested all tank parameters over last week (I also transferred around 40% of the existing tank water when purchasing which has helped with cycling).

The previous substrate was gravel and only had coral Rock. I have bought this rock, cleaned, soaked and checked PH levels etc. I recognise it could do with more rock, but an initial question should the smaller cave features be closed off at rear or is it better to have that cross flow of water and let fish defend territories front and back? Is it worthwhile also adding more features on the sand too like shallow shelves with thin slate to create more areas?

I'm just nervous about weight On the tank...
