would this stocking plan be ok? although im pretty familar with fish and aquarium maintenance, i am new to african cichlids. i dont mind doing big weekly water changes to accommodate for overstocking (so i can mitigate agression). also i have good filtration and a power head.
Thanks!!!

No, your tank is only 36" long. You could possibly get away with a small breeding group of smaller, peaceful aulonocara or yellow labs. A single male with 4 or 5 females or a breeding group of saulosi. With the saulosi you could probably have 3 males and 9 or 10 females.

Agree with james1983.
To get an idea of what might work if you wanted the taiwan reef and red peacock, go for a 48" x 18" tank (I actually like an 8" fish like the taiwan in a 72" tank) I would think in terms of:
1m:4f taiwan reef
3m:12f red peacock like dragonblood
With haps and peacocks only males are colorful. If you want all-male you would choose one male of each species and no species that look alike.

I have a 65g mbuna tank. It's been up and running for approximately four years. There are about 30 total, a mix of Yellow Labs, Red Zebras and Kenyi. Heres a few pics. An old pic with just rocks from the beach, and the way its currently aquascaped with Texas holey rock. Peacocks might not work in this tank....
