Petricola/Pleco
will having Petricola and/or Pleco in a Mbuna tank prevent the chance of any breeding?

Re: Petricola/Pleco
Bristlenose pleco no. Synodontis minimize the chance of survivors in the tank. You just remove the holding mom before she spits out the babies to another tank and you can still raise fry with a pleco and with Synodontis.

Re: Petricola/Pleco
I have had synos and plecos my whole life, and I have had some horny fish. Let’s just say that no, it doesn’t prevent births.
75 gallon Mbuna and Victorian tank (also contains cats and venustus)
5 gallon fry tank
165 gallon turtle pond
Just your average fish keeper tryin to avoid turtle disaster.
Ok I’m done now.
