Holding female with new fry
Quick question. I have a female saulousi that just released and I have taken her out and put her back in the main tank. I have another one in the main tank that is holding. I am new to all of this but since she does not appear to be eating, can I put her in the "nursery" tank with the new fry and her not eat them?

Yes but...
If you want to remove her I assume you want to save the 2nd batch of fry. You will need another tank for them anyway, so why not set up your second fry tank and move the mom in 18 days when all is ready?

Ah, I see your point. What I should have said is that the one still holding has been since almost when the first one did so I think it will be any day now. Okay and thanks!

If the first batch was spit yesterday I would strip the second mom so the newborn fry are as close to the same age as possible.
If the existing fry are much older they will eat the newborns if you mix them.
