75 gallon stocking...demasoni+yellow labs+ ??

Postby wspanic » Thu Feb 06, 2020 9:01 pm

Tank should be cycled in next week. This is my 2nd go round for Mbuna. I tried a 30 gallon 3 years ago with demasoni and YLs and it was a mess. Too small. This time I have 75 gallon and against my better judgment want to try this again. I am think 20 demasoni, 6-8 YLs, and many 6 socofoli (blue). I have about 175 lbs for Rip Rap rock. Filtration is Fluval 406 and 407. Do these numbers look good? Do i need to add catfish as i am not interested in protecting fry.

End up with 15 demasoni after removing extra males and 1m:4f of just the yellow labs and socolofi if you really want them.

I would add 5 Synodontis multipunctatus for fry patrol.

Realize you will have to remove the rocks fairly often to net extra males or victim females. But you know about Demasoni, LOL.
