Just curious if anybody has come across this mix. Noticed my strawberry female is holding as of today. Fairly sure it's my german red being the father.
Probably get some cool obs from her?!?

Any malawi mouthbrooder can cross with another. You'll probably end up with some that look like each parent, some a mix of both, and some that do not look like either parent.

Re: German red mixed with strawberry peacocks
If that is the male in the pic, both fish are hybrids, so it will be pretty random. A lot of different genes in the mix. The "strawberry" may not have the OB gene, so no OB.

Definitely looks like a cross of a swallowtail peacock and some other peacock like a Walteri or a midnight peacock!
