How long should I run my wave makers during the day? Do I even really need them?

I run mine continuously and sometimes turn them off when feeding. I find it keeps my fish "busy". I've heard of some people saying it helps with aggression? I'm not 100% sure on this or not. I personally use it to reduce dead spots on the surface and in the bottom corners of the tank.

If your GPH is 8X to 10X you don't need them.

I have a fx6 and a fx4 on a 125 gallon , I don't think I need them but plan on buying one just to see if it will effect aggression
