I currently have a 110 gallon (48x18x30) tank with a breeding group of yellow tail acei (1m:4f), 2 male Salousi and 6 unsexed juvies, 6 unsexed white labs, 7 Mainganos (1 m & 2 females known, the other 5 could be 1 male and 4 female or all 5 females).
I also have a 75 gallon (48x18x21) tank that holds 5 yellow labs (1m and 1 holding female and 3 unsexed) and grown out acei fry from my 110gallon breeding group.
I like the colors of the adult fish listed below and there are a lot of these fry available locally for sale. I was wondering what combination would work if any in the 75 gallon. I don’t mind rehoming the acei and yellow labs to accommodate.
German red peacock
Taiwan reef
Blood dragon
Electric Blue
Demasoni
Placidichromis Jalo reef
otopharynx lithobates yellow blaze
Star Sapphire
red shoulder peacock

Re: Stocking advise
I assume you are doing mixed gender since you are getting fry. With the peacock and hap below, you could also do 1m:4f yellow labs and acei.
German red peacock [quote]good choice
Taiwan reef [quote]too big
Blood dragon[quote]choose one red, german red works better with others
Electric Blue [quote]skip this crossbreeds with peacocks
Demasoni[quote]skip these with peacocks or if you are a newbie

Re: Stocking advise
Yes I’ll do mixed gender. I’ll go with the German red peacocks and the yellow blaze. What’s the stocking ratio that I should aim for? 1m:4f?
Also from the list what can I add to the 110 gallon or would it be at capacity once I get the right stocking of
Maingano 1m:7f
Salousi 1m:4f
White labs 1m:4f
Acei 1m:4f

Re: Stocking advise
Sounds like they are both full...the footprint of each is 48x18.
1m:4f works.
1m:4f works.

Re: Stocking advise
Just a follow up question to this. Can Ruby red peacock work instead of the German red?

Re: Stocking advise
Yes if you are doing the lithobates and acei and yellow labs mixed gender for all.
