Blue dolphin chiclids fighting plz help

Postby Catfish FTW » Thu Aug 17, 2017 1:26 pm

Hello everyone I have 7 blue dolphin cichlids in my tank and all of them are fine apart from one. Originally we had 3 blue dolphins but 1 one of them was very aggressive and just picked on other blue dolphins and caused damage to them. So I got some more blue dolphins so it will spread its anger over all of them and not just target the one but it has never stopped chasing other fish and it is stressing some of them (The only fish it is aggressive towards are other blue dolphins)

How big is their tank? Sometimes the only solution is to remove over aggressive fish.

I had 5 in my 180 gallon and had to pare it down to only 2. They didn't just pick on just each other though they went after everything that moved. Sometimes you just have to give one up for the greater good of the tank. Most likely another one will take over as dominant male and it starts over again. The male and female pair I have left took over where their counterparts left off lol.
