Your option are:

a pleco (possibly)
another male auratus who is bigger (will probably kill him)
fake fish ornaments

No, Auratus will murder almost everyone even in large tanks. But if you want to try to keep Auratus successfully with other fish, you'd need a 75G or larger tank. A 30G is too small for even peaceful mbuna unless they are dwarf and the tank is at least 36" long IMO.

Not a good idea at all. :(

You really don't have any options in this size tank. He might even take out a pleco since there would be nowhere else to direct his aggression. They are brutally aggressive fish.

He isn't lonely though...hes a fish and doesn't have human feelings. All he knows how to do is survive and procreate.
