New tank stocking

So I just stocked my tank with about 30 juvi mbuna all about 1.5" to 2" long. Along with my order I ordered 4 synodontis lace catfish also 1.5 to 2" long. However, the order came in and only has 2 cats, and they are approximately 5" long. Would it be safe to put them in there or will they pick at my mbuna?

Should be fine. How long is your tank?

I expect to have to filter some fish out, aiming for a final populaiton of 26 in a 75 gallon, still crowded, but gotta cut down the aggression right?

20 is a good final number of mbuna to manage aggression. Four species depending on which exact species you stock.
