Nesting Caves disrupt or leave be?

Postby Harley-J » Tue Dec 18, 2018 1:43 pm

I have a 90 gallon, mainly Peacock tank. (I think all males) The tank boss has built a huge nest cave on one side of the tank. Now another one of my peacocks has done the same on the far other side. The second nesting spot is now causing a rift between a couple of my fish. (noone dares to fight over the tank bosses nest) So here is my question. Should I be disrupting the caves and nesting spots as there being built or let them work it out.
Thanks

Short of changing the inhabitants out, they're gonna do what they're gonna do.

Let them work it out. But keep an eye out for females because the males may be trying to attract someone in the tank.

Good indicator that you have a female. Usually that is what they fight about.

Can we see a picture of the tank? I'd certainly take a stab at re arranging the hardscape, though at some point the behavior of the fish will overcome that, but moving stuff is worth a shot.
