Is it necessary to do a 20% partial water change even if all the water parameters are acceptable?

I do 50% or more weekly regardless of test results. Are your nitrates under 10ppm?

Certainly can’t hurt. I find doing 60-75% water changes just as easy as a 50%, so I usually end up doing those every 10 days or so.

15 might be acceptable but 10 and less is closer to ideal.
