New aquarist. Help needed.

Postby vichu » Thu Jul 21, 2016 7:07 am

Hi
Setup an aquarium yesterday (100+ gallons with 7 feet size)
Stocked with 3 peacock cichlids, 6 yellow zebra cichlids, 25 small blue morphs, 2 rainbow sharks, 4 Ramirezi cichlids, 2 Silver Carps and 8 blue rainbow fishes. Peacock cichlids, Rainbow sharks, Silver carps, Zebra cichlids and Ramirezi cichlids are almost same length of 3 inches.
Actually I dont know the compatibility of these fishes.
Please guide me so that I can arrange according to that.
Thank you.

Sharks, rams, rainbows can go together. Others are African cichlids (except for the carp). I have never had the morphs. Not sure what you mean by yellow zebras- could be zebra, kenyi, saulosi, or crabro. saulosi can go with peacocks but others cannot. I would recommend going on line and doing some research. You will get a good idea of ideal water chemistry and compatabilty (specifically with the African cichlids).

Thanks for your reply.Zebra I mentioned is the name told by the shop keeper. They are electric yellow cichlids.
I think my smaller fishes (blue morph & blue rainbow) are getting attacked at night.
Will do more online research as u said.

Which are your favorites? Which do you want to keep if it is recommended you rehome some?

Blue rainbows are almost vanished. Only 2 left now. Blue morphs are surviving with others.
