Announcement - Photobucket images no longer working

Hello,

Photobucket.com has recently changed its terms of service for free users on their platform. As of June 20 images hosted by Photobucket and shared on our forum, or any other third party sites, will no longer appear. As a result, you may notice a higher amount of broken images on the forum.

If you do not have access to edit your older posts please contact an Administrator or Moderator for assistance. Please provide the new URL for the image that needs to be edited and a link to the thread the image in located in.

to be clear,we will need to provide an admin with the proper and new links in order to edit older posts that need updating due to this issue? is that correct?

My understanding is they need the original post the PB pic link was in and the new pic link in order to replace the pic. I'm not sure how this is going to work in posts that have multiple pics.

Yes, provide us with the links to the thread(s) with the affected PB image, and a link to the actual image but you'll need to have downloaded and/or migrated them elsewhere so we can see it to replace the broken image with.

If there are multiple images within a thread, send us links of the original image in order you want them to be re-uploaded as the order is displayed within the original thread.

That said, for [b]Chrome users[/b] we came across an extension that will enable you to see the broken images hosted from PB. Another temp fix for now (who knows how long it'll hold up) but here it is:

^ Click the link and choose to add the extension to Chrome. Then, you want to go to the Extensions main page. It's located in the top right corner menu button, the one that is 3 dots. Or, you can try this link: chrome://extensions/

Find the one you just added (it's icon is the shape of a puzzle piece) and check the box that says "Allow Access to File URLs"

Clear cookies in cache, load up a page with a Photobucket link, and let us know if that works for you and/or if you need further assistance elsewhere. The instructions provided above is a temporary fix that we can offer at the moment to help restore your images until we have a more concrete solution soon.
