Can't be completely sure from your photo, but it looks like a fairly young, male Green Terror to me.

Venting rarely works on new world Cichlids. Most don't lay the large eggs that Rift Lake Mouthbrooders do, so the vent does not get streatched out.
I see negligible hump on head - female. White bars on either side of lateral spot - female. Short dorsal, anal, and ventral fins - female. Almost no iridescent color on the body - female. Caudal border relatively narrow and well defined - female. Body slightly shortened overall - female.
Looks like a girl to me. Could it be a young male? I would consider that a remote possibility, but not likely. She's not that small.

Hi I'm new on here, can anyone help me on here sex young green terrors, I think in a tank the shop has 1 male and 3 females, the male hasn't a hump yet but has the dorsal fin and the thick orange line in tail and dorsal, the so called females are smaller not acting as dominant and have no long dorsal fin but have two white stripes either side of a dark patch on the side, they are all 4 inches long. ???
