Best plants for South American cichlids?

Postby escoutdril54 » Mon Jan 04, 2021 12:27 pm

I have a 60-gallon South American cichlid tank and from what I've gathered, if any plants are put into the aquariums they'll be promptly destroyed. Right now I have a fine sand on the bottom, some large driftwood, and stacks of slate and they seem fine, but I was wondering if there were possibly some larger plants that they would do well with for some cover especially near the surface. Thanks.

What fish do you have? That will help. Pictures too!!
The harbinger of doom to the wicked but the fragrance of life for the hopeless. Napalm

Anything is possible, but should you is another question.

Oh, you are considering a Flowerhorn or Blood parrot, please don't buy GMO.
