South American Cichlids • Green Terror male or female ?

Hi all, very much new to cichlids and just got myself a green terror was told he/she was around 6 months old. However I am now wondering wether it's a male or female after learning about how slow of a grower they are and heard some horror stories about females that have matured and laid eggs at a young age and stopped growing! Is this possible? I have learned that sexing them this early is just purely a guessing game unless vented or a prominent hump is there I was wondering if any could help me please!! I'm on the same boat, I got a small one about 4-7 inches like yours and think or thought it was a female....I went and got a male with a hump on its head to make sure it was a male. And now I'm curious if I have a female or male the first one...
