55 - 60 Gallon Rams

Postby Derude » Tue Apr 10, 2018 1:38 pm

Hey Everyone

Back in the day I had a Cichlid tank nothing crazy just a 37 gallon with a couple peacocks, and just recently I've been thinking about getting back into the hobby because i do miss it. But im thinking about stearing more towards smaller cichlids.. I was kinda thinking rams. I was thinking between 25-30 in a 60 Gallon, im wondering if this would be ok. A store is selling MIKROGEOPHAGUS RAMIREZI, gold, blue and red ones. I was thinking about getting a mix of all three, what are your thoughts any suggestions ?

Thanks

Welcome to C-F

What you're describing reminds me of how the fish would be stocked at a pet store. A very high density. You will get much more out of your fish if you stock smaller numbers, and allow them to pair off and establish territories. That's what will be interesting. What are the 60 dimensions?
