Most avid Earth eater

Postby Stiphodon » Thu Nov 23, 2017 7:58 am

Hi all I know that there are lots of different species of Geophagus but I was wandering if anyone knows what is the most active earth eater as I find the behaviour really cute and fascinating :D

I only have experience with Geophagus Redhead Tapajos but they are plenty active and very interesting to observe in a large group. I find them to be almost like a slightly calmer tropheus in their activity level.

I agree with zimmy,
I haven’t had much experience with other geos but I have a group of 10 tapajos and they are funny to watch.. very active constantly sifting thru sand and just buzzing around the tank.. they do seem to ‘bicker’ amongst themselves a bit which is quite funny to watch, mine are just starting to come into maturity so there colours are starting to show
