hello
I am new to keeping cichlids and have a 60 gallon tank (48 x 12 x 23) with 2 80GAL HOB filters. I currently have 2 EBA's (pretty sure both male) in there with a school of larger danio. Im looking to rehome the danio as they were to help cycle but they've stuck around for the last 2 years and I'm ready to part with em. I'd like to keep at least 1 EBA but ideally both as I've sorta become attached by giving em names. Id like to have a peaceful/semi aggressive SA cichlid tank that could /ideally/ be cool with plants that are planted but im not against fish who need to have floating plants or those that can be tied to wood/glued to rock bc they mess with the substrate. I keep sand if that matters. I do have slightly harder PH at about 7.8 but I have read that as long as its consistent its okay (plz confirm). My EBA's are currently 2ish years old and about 3.5-4inches. I still consider myself an advanced newbie who googles so please nothing that will die if I make a small mistake. TIA!
*edit* i also lowkey fell in love with "bumblebee jelly catfish", anyone heard of these? 10/10 would keep one if they're logical in the tank.
