Is there anything I can do to make her feel more comfortable? She has plenty of hiding spots, she’s in a 20g long, I have two sponge filters and I’ve been doing weekly water changes at about 50%. I’m struggling to get all of the waste off the bottom as I chose not to use gravel or sand before putting her in

If she is frantic she is about to spit. With a bare bottom tank it should be easy to get debris off the bottom, what is making it difficult?

Agree with DJ I use glass bottoms in all my holding and nursery tanks as it’s easy to see and get rid of waste.
