Postby BooyahBlake » Sun Jun 18, 2017 9:43 pm

So i moved myImage Elongatus with a mouth full of babies about a week ago. she spat all the young that night and i have just been feeding her a little extra this past week as she has not eater in several weeks.Image

My question is when should i remove the fish from the babies and put it back into the bigger tank. im doing a water change tomorrow, so i was thinking it might be a good day

Yes, I usually do this with 48 hours after she spits or babies start to disappear.

I would also suggest moving her out of the tank before she gets hungry (probably already is due to lack of food during brooding) and eats them. Just be careful because if the mother gets stressed out she will eat the babies. Best recommendation is to put food in the tank and or try and divide the tank. Regardless using a big net and quickly scoop her up without disturbing the tank too much
