Now that I've got my garden planted water changes are a lot more frequent. 10 gallons a day on my 125 gallon and 5 gallons a day on my 35 gallon. lots of veggies to water. tank water comes from private well. I run it through carbon before I add to tank but that's it. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Glad you can reuse your tank water. You should increase your 125 to 15 gallons per day to yield nearly 100% wc per week.

What's the purpose of running the well water through carbon?

My well water runs through a whole house water softener to rid gross alpha(arsenic)

The carbon gets rid of the sulfur smell. I run it through a whole house sediment filter (20 mil) 1st then through a whole house carbon filter (4 mil) not actual aquarium carbon

How is your process set up? Do you collect the old tank water in some sort of container first, or does it go directly into the garden via a hose, or good ole 5gal buckets?
