Hey,

I've just had the approval from the Mrs for a new tank. I've scoured the internet and and found one that is 245 litres - 120x45x55cm

if I was to do an all male peacock tank how many could I put in..?

Also do you introduce them all at once...?

I like 12 individuals that mature <= 6" in that sized tank. Ideally introduce them all at once.

You want fish that look nothing alike. So one yellow, one red one blue kind of thing among the peacocks.

Taiwan Reef is too big.

Also avoid hybrids (dragon blood).

Sulphur head usually does not color well in a male tank.

Maybe add some other haps that mature <= six inches to round out your list? Stick to the wimpier ones so your stuartgranti peacocks will color well.

You will need a spare tank and a rehoming plan for the first 2 years or so.

You might want to go through each fish picture and each profile. I am just giving guidelines.

For example the sunshine and the baenshi look alike, choose one. For whatever reason I have found the usisya works with the other yellow peacocks. If you can find a turkis, it is another peacock that has a unique color.

The Sulphur head does not color well in a male tank. Same with nyererei which is also very aggressive.

The azureus, Zimbabwe rock and intermedius should work. Skip the fryeri, it looks like the Zimbabwe rock. Add a Placidochromis electra and Protomelas marginatus and you are done.

If you can't get some of the fish mentioned above, swap out for a yellow lab and/or an acei. Those 2 mbuna usually do OK in a male tank.

Lethrinops do not color well in a male tank.

I have not kept korneliae but you already have 3 blue peacocks.
