This is my oscar fish (+- 25cm) in my 75 gallon tank. Tank mates: 1 pleco and 1 small (10cm) catfish.
I just noticed these white spots. As a starting fish keeper i don't know if this is something to worry about. I've heard a lot of ick. Does anyone know what this is?
Tank parameters:
Cl2 = 0.5 mg/L
pH = 6.2
KH = 3°
GH = >4 °
Nitrit = 0
Nitrat = 50

Welcome to C-F!
If you are referring to the whitish marks on his pectoral fins the answer is no. They could be injuries from running into something in the tank or maybe being moved from one tank to another.
How long has this tank been set up?
Can you also test for ammonia?

Possibly calcium buildup.Generally not a concern. Warning however..50 nitrate is VERY dangerous to an Oscar.Water changes until you have well under 20,closer to 10 is better
1500 gallons of South and Central American cichlids. Some with a "wee" bit of attitude.
