Fish ID please
Got these guys from a mixed tank, guessing they are haps but did not see anything matching in the forum database.

Re: Fish ID please
I'm not trying to rain on your parade here, but this kind of question comes up so often that I thought a general response might be useful. The likelihood of getting a pure species from a 'Mixed' tank of 'Haps' or 'Peacocks' at the LFS is low. And the likelihood that you will ever be able to identify any of these fishes unequivocally is virtually nil. If you are interested in a particular species, the only way to be sure of getting that species is to source it from a reputable breeder or supplier who keeps these fishes segregated from other similar species. Good luck.

1."Malawi Hap"- looks a lot like Protomelas sp. "Taiwan Reef", but doesn't look quite right, the mouth is weird. Might not be pure, or poor mass market breeding over generations, hard to know.
2. "Victorian Hap"- a male that gets a greenish or green-yellow body with a reddish top. There are a few species like that.
