Has any one ever heard of Frescos Cichlids??

I remember a long time ago a friend had Frontosa, Peacocks, Moreii ( because I remembered the big dolphins swimming around), all of his fish were huge ...which I have recently purchased for my new tank.

Has anyone ever heard of Frescos? I believe they were called and Blue and Golds? which I think were Zebras, but anyway, this was like 25 years ago so the memory is a little faded. Can any one help here??

I tried looking Frescos up under aquarium fish but got nothing, I believe they were African cichlids also, maybe just being called a different name

I also did some searching and couldn't find anything similar. Maybe some of our long time members might remember something similar.

Well...there are Fuscos. Nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus, usually referred to as "fuscos". Seems likely to have been in the tank with the other species you're describing, they're African haps.
