Nicaraguensis 75 Gallon Stocking

Postby AU Chief » Tue Nov 07, 2017 4:21 pm

I'm about to order a pair of Nics from Jeff Rapps and I'm looking at ideas for tankmates. I already have a school of BA tetras (as stand-ins for Mexican tetras) and I want at least one other type of cichlid if possible. The cookie cutter on this site suggest longimanus, but those are impossible to come by. I'm thinking a pair of Septemfasciata, but am open to other ideas. I'm hoping to keep the tank Costa Rican/Nicaraguan.

Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Longimanus go well with the Nics, i have two large Nics and four Longimanus in a 5x2x2 along with a couple of Rainbow cichlids and they coexist with no problems. Shame you are not here in Aust as i would be able to supply some Longimanus, they are not popular over here and difficult to sell off the Juveniles.
