Neolamprologus caudopunctatus and Tropheus

Postby reddhawkk » Sun Apr 18, 2021 11:48 am

I have a Tropheus tank57 gallon, with 10 Tropheus in it and was wondering if I could add some Neolamprologus caudopunctatus to it? I like the caudopuncs and have the availability of getting some but only have the Tropheus tank to put them in. Is this doable or not?

What are the dimensions of the 57G tank? Ideally you would keep tropheus in a tank that is 48" by 18" or larger.

It doesn't matter what size the sump is if your fishes don't have enough space, and 36" is too small even for just the Tropheus, as you will eventually discover. Adding anything else is just asking for more trouble. Which Tropheus population do you have? Some are more-or-less OK in 48" tanks, but many are not.
