Any suggestions?

I have a 4ftx2x1.5 tank. 2mm light coloured gravel. calvus 2M2F breeding and Electric yellows 3M1F breeding plus gold spotted pleco

I was thinking of adding more calvus (maybe 4 juvies, and hopefully all turn out to be females :P ) and 2-3 EY females (if i can get them) as one idea.

Another idea, get rid of the EYs, add more calvus and a pair/trio of occelatus gold.

If i was to go with idea no.2 could i add another species without disrupting the breeding of the calvus and occies? or should i jsut keep it to 2 species in either idea.

THanks for your comments

Cheers

I would skip adding more calvus: 1 male per tank is usually what ends up happening, and if you've got two peaceful pairs, let them be. :thumb:

I'd get rid of the EY, but that's because I'm partial to Tangs. Without the yellows, you could safely add occies, and also 1 or two other Tang cichlid species. The first I'd suggest would be Cyprichromis or Paracyprichromis, and the second species could be a small Julidochromis or gobies.
