There's plenty of hiding places in the tree trunks (3pcs) with a few holes/caves in each and all the plants and rocks give plenty of cover. They can all hide from each other if they want to.

I gave up on keeping live plants with them, they just rip everything apart, nothing lasts more than a few days. :( I can only keep live plants in the sump, what has the role of a planted refugium where the fish cannot do a damage to them. :)

Nice tank and awesome fish list,no offense but those little plastic plants look cheesey. Some big pieces of lace rock would look sweet

I never heard of a planted sump for fresh water, salt water uses them for macro algea to keep nitrates down

I like the planted tank look better than mountains of rocks. Since I can't use live plants with these fish, I went with the imitations. The planted refugium has the same purpose as in the saltwater tanks: to lower the nitrates. :)

Wow! Did you purchase your fish that size or did you grow them yourself? Impressive. P.S. I like your lighting choice. Looks like it does a good job of pulling out and showing off all of the colors of your fish

Most of them were purchased as juvies, around 2'' or less, a few of them were purchased as adults, but much smaller than what they're at right now. None of these fish are fully grown yet, they still have to put on a little more :D
