"Fast and reliable"
I've only ever ordered products from the Dr.s, not fish, so I can't speak to that. They always have a good selection and competitive pricing (you can usually find the stuff cheaper, but on much dodgier websites.) The last time I ordered from them, the item was supposed to be on backorder and I chose the cheap, regular shipping. Long story short, I received my item barely two full days after I clicked "order." That's ridiculously fast!

I recently decided to buy a whole new setup for my tank, Dr Foster & Smith had a really large selection of products to choose from , and they also had really detailed information about each product. Although they did take 3 days to process my order it arrived within a week!

This store has inexspensive supplies, huge selection, and very prompt shipping. Befor you go to this site make a shopping list they have a strange way of charging for shipping. it goes in brackets and befor you checkout they will tell you how much you have left to spend befor hitting the next price bracket...its a win win for customers and the retailer itself. they end up selling more, you end up getting a better shipping price.

I have used them ever since I started fishkeeping some years ago. They always have a wide selection of products and always are willing to correct a mistake or defective product if it happens. They also are one of the fastest shippers I have ever seen. Never ordered any livestock from them but I'm sure there good on that also.

I've used this site a few times for my dry fish supplies. They are amazeing orders get filled same day and shipped same day it in. The only thing is I try and buy a lot when I order because shipping is always 10 for me no matter how small an order is.

Best prices hands down on most supplies, though they don't have as much food variety as I'd except just a big company to have. My dad ordered all this fish and cleaning packs for his reef tank through them and everything was packaged very securely and quickly. Great customer service... Only negative is the variety of cichlids, not that greatest and lots are out of stock often.

"Top Notch Customer Service"
I ordered 3 fluorescent bulbs, two which worked fine, and one which was dim, and would not fully light up. I called Drs. Foster and Smith, and they were very apologetic. They immediately put a new bulb in the mail, and I did not have to bother shipping back the defective one. This is what customer service should be like everywhere!

The supplies and products they offer are great and at a very decent price. The only problem I have is they use digitally enhanced photos and a lot of the species they sell are not as colorful as they appear in the pictures.

For the most part dr foster and smith is the best online store I've had experience with. They are prompt with processing orders and arrive promptly at your door. I've never ordered live fish or plants from them before, but their dry goods and supplies are top-notch. They're prompt and responsive to complications with orders and always optimistic with resolving the problems. Shipping is affordable and you can beat the selection they supply.

I ordered a 4' glass top for my 55g, and I was thrilled when it arrived 3 days later. Unfortunately, it had taken a tumble in shipping and was in multiple pieces. A call to customer service had a new one shipped out to me in no time flat, with nothing but incredibly friendly service. She almost seemed surprised that I thought I might have to ship it back to get a new one! The new hood arrived in great shape. Needless to say, they have a new loyal customer based on customer service alone. Not to mention that their prices are quite reasonable.

I've ordered many times from these guys. Good prices, fantastic selection, and fast shipping. And awesome customer service. I got a 30" Current light fixture. It came triple boxed. However, to my surprise, light bulbs weren't included. Probably not even their fault since Current probably either drop-shipped for them, or Current never included the bulbs when it was sent to the DrsFosterSmith.com warehouse. Got the package on Friday, called 24/7 customer service on Saturday, and received a tracking number for the free bulbs on Monday. That's good service. Hey, when ordering through a catalog or online, sometimes Murphy's law happens. The mark of a great company is how they go to bat for you to fix an error!
