This is my third time purchasing fish online though I am using Cichlid Express for the first time and I must say that CE stands out in in both stock and service qualities! I contacted Billy via email after reading the reviews posted here on this forum and I am definitely happy that I had chosen CE. For 2 weeks Billy and I communicated via email discussing suitable species of hap/peacocks for setting up an all-male tank. Billy made great recommendations and answered all my questions and concerns. He also took care in explaining to me shipping options at best prices. The fish arrived in perfect condition, all of which are vibrant and healthy. They also seemed larger in size than described and most of them have nice colors already! In general I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely use this retailer again!

Very few retailers have the availability and quality of stock that CE does. I can honestly say this becasue I spent literally months comparing retailers the OCD/Excel spreadhsheet way. Billy worked with me nearly a month to make sure my order of 25 mbuna was right down the line. When the fish arrived I was impressed with the care that was taken during shipping. All fish arrived healthy and aclimated well. I would highly suggest giving them a call if you're in the market.
I ordered some male Haps and Peacocks. Good communication via email and phone as I decided on which fish to get. Fish were bigger than I expected with some color to verify they were males. Exactly what I wanted.
I ordered (4) Female Afra Cobue, (8) Yellow Labs, (8) White Tailed Acei, and one sailfin bristlenose pleco from these guys. All the fish arrived on time and in great shape. They even ate right away after all the stress of traveling all the way to Nebraska, healthy fish! Would definitely recommend Cichlid Express for anyone looking for those hard to find fish.
I just received a shipment of 14 Mbunas. All are extremely healthy. Billy was great to work with. We had multiple conversations over the phone and via email. He was extremely knowledgeable, and gave great advice as I am a novice to Mbunas. He was courteous and friendly. I will definitely order from him again.

I was looking to order 14 Malawi cichlids and found Cichlid Express to have the best selection and customer reviews. I corresponded with Billy via email. He's the best! So friendly, understanding, extremely knowledgeable, and organized! We emailed each other over the course of a couple weeks because he was waiting to stock a couple fish I wanted. When we spoke over the phone to complete my order, he remembered every detail of my order request, each specific fish and my shipping address! He was also so kind to sex my fish on request. The fish were delivered well-packaged and labeled. All 15 of them (Billy was so generous to give me an extra rusty!) survived the trip all the way from Florida to Los Angeles, CA!
