I use the pH 8.2 in my Malawi cichlid tank, and it works very well. I've used it about a week ago, tested the water today and it's dead on 8.2, but there is one very IMPORTANT thing to remember. Before you use this product be sure to use cichlid salts and minerals (such us the popular Seachem cichlid salt)In most cases this product will NOT work if you use it alone (the pH will bounce back), and in some cases it could lead to extremly high and unstable pH. If used as directed this is a great product - my fish seem more comfortable.
