What type of mbuna and what are the dimensions of the tank? What type of peacocks?

I've got peacocks with demasoni..... they never breed though. Too much activity, but the demasoni don't get too aggressive with the peacocks, only themselves.

I had a Cynotilapia sp. hara kill a Maleri...I don't combine them any more. If they are not breeding, there is a certain level of stress in the tank. Not to say that peacocks can't stress themselves for other reasons, but why add to it by combining them with mbuna?

It really does depend on which mbuna you are keeping, and the dimensions of the tank. I've mixed them successfully a number of times.

Next major restock of my tank, I'd like to try some peacocks - which ones would be best for mixing with low aggression mbuna like labs and acei? I have red empress now, I've read not to mix protomelas with peacocks.
