Borleyi starting to shine, Cobue colouring up

Postby JAyliffe » Tue May 08, 2012 5:20 pm

Here's one of my originals a C.Borleyi male swimming with my C. Afra Cobue male, P.Socolofi, P.Johanni and M.Esterae and others taken with point and shoot using a flash

This is the C.Borleyi about two months earlier when he was just a silver fish with orange fins

Mine is maybe 3.5 inches right now.. I'm fairly sure I'll be able to keep him until he is fully grown in my 250 gallon

Looking good.

I have one that is starting to get orange just past the gills. So it looks like I might have gotten 1:3.

I was away for a week and was just amazed by how much deeper the colour has become in just that short time. I only purchased the one, it was the last one in the LFS too, I was hoping for a male; this was one of my successes :) Sadly my more recent luck on buying a group and hoping for at least 50% females has not been so good.. starting to think those Utah springs have chemicals that cause involuntary sex changes!
