I recently bought NLS pellets cichlids formula and two of my cichlids spit out the food...they are usually fed Hikari gold pellets. What would be reasons why they spit it out??

Could be illness--spitting out food is one of the early symptoms of bloat. But it may also be that they just need some time adjust to the different food.

I noticed though in your other post that you're treating for Bloat so it may be these fish have bloat. . .

I'm not treating for bloat..but a post I read today is making Me think that may be the reason. I was thinking that it's the food since I recently purchase NLS to rotate btwn the Hikari gold they are fed.
