Painting the background
On my 75 gallon mixed malawi tank i have a black background but water gets in between the glass and the background causing it look ugly. I've been wanting to paint the back of my tank black so I never have to worry about changing it... can you guys give me some tips of paints to use and maybe other colors that might give it a good effect. the substrate is white and the rocks used to be live rocks that I've boiled and froze for all the bacteria to die and now they have a sheen of green color to them and it actually turned out to make it look real nice... thanks guys

I have all mine painted and I just use flat black rustoleum spray paint I dont think the brand would really matter as long as it covers it.

Not really, just have to paint the blue first and then back it up with the black.
The hardest part would be getting the blue to gradually "mist out".
I'd also want to do it in an arc rather than straight across the back.
