Unidentified Cichlids

i first thought it was a peacock but im not so sure anymore, it was only 6 bucks at my LFS and in a mixed african cichlid tank
also if you know if its a male or female that would be great

The "peacock" isn't really a peacock. It is hard to nail down exactly, but might be a Copadichromis borleyi.l

yah man i wasnt too sure either, this one my brother bought without asking any questions, thanx for clarifying it! so do u know what it will look like fully grown or if it looks Like a female or male?

The borleyi is a male. It will turn blue and orange with some white on the fins. They are very nice.

The borleyi is a male. It will turn blue and orange with some white on the fins. They are very nice.

I know these are bad pics but you've guys have been so incredible helpful, last one do u know what type of peaock this is? I think its an OB but its not as colorful as the other ones I've seen on the internet so im not sure

Yep...OB...it may color some more as well. I have been looking for a red/purple one in my area and not had great luck.

thanx for the response man and yah i was looking for some real nice ones and found them for 25 bux but then i went to another store and found this guy for 7 so i had to take it
