When to start pulling fish?
So a few months ago I decided to try the all male peacock/hap tank set up. All fish are still under 3" and there about 6 species in groups of three (roughly 18) in a 150 gal. Some fish are starting to color and others I'm just not sure of yet. The one difinate male, is the boss and chases of course. No fin damage to others, just keeps about a cubic foot area clear of all fish. There are a few others that have some color and not as aggressive. Do I pull this fish or keep him? Is time to start pulling any potential females yet? I could not find an artical with alot of detail. Thanks for any suggestions.

Absolutely. If you knew they were females, you would have never wanted to add them to the tank.
Mine were all over 3" when I added them 1.25 years ago and they are still coloring up.

u can isolate the male, there might be other factors that makes the colours fade
let him less food if u decided to isolate him if its going to doing peace then go for it

The point is to find males, right? So if you know you have a male of one species, why not pull the rest of the fish of that species? You've accomplished what you wanted to, there's no sense keeping any of the other ones, IMO.
